A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught children and adults of all different ages and coming from all different backgrounds. This has helped me to create a very versatile style of teaching. For example, I believe that visual learning is very effective with many students. With these students, especially young children, I like to use colorful materials in order to spark interest and encourage creativity. I also feel that a learning environment with few distractions yet full of activities and study aids is key to creating a healthy and relaxed atmosphere. I like to encourage and praise my students for their efforts, which helps them to build confidence, not only in the subject area that is being studied, but also in other areas in life itself. I enjoy working with young learners of all backgrounds and ages. I believe I have a natural talent for reading people and helping them feel comfortable and safe. My teaching style is a combination of all styles. I believe in discipline, dedication, homework and exams, and yet I also believe in being flexible and spontaneous. My goal is always to focus on an individual's need to feel safe, engaged and excited about learning a new subject. I help my students see for themselves what their strong points are and help them understand how to eliminate their weak areas.
