My teaching style with my own children is conversational, hands-on, and intuitive. I explore what most captures their attention, then weave in the lessons by using any available teaching aids, such as whiteboard drawings, to illustrate a point, literally.
My German parents spoke (so-called "high", or proper) German at home in NY/NJ, which came in handy after we moved overseas when I was 13. Repeating 7th grade, I learned to read and write German fluently, as well as master the local dialects and sundry colloquialisms without a lingering accent. Doing so allowed me mask my heritage, enroll in higher education, and learn a trade, culminating in a long and rewarding all-encompassing painting career abroad and in the eastern US, before settling in Texas to explore telecommunications. I widely regard the world as a large classroom/laboratory.

My teaching style is about action and about the learner actively learning through multiple stimuli. I understand that people have a tendency to learn via seeing, hearing, or doing, and I combine all three while at the same time tailoring the approach to individual needs. I am extremely positive and energetic and love inspiring learners. Often times, to learn about a particular subject, a teacher must first assess what topic--no matter what the topic--stimulates the student, and then proceed to teach the subject at hand via the subject that stimulates the student.
