I enjoy teaching and the think that every child has the ability to learn anything they want. Through my personal experience, I realize that some people have a harder time learning particular subjects than others. Being someone who has been tutored earlier in grade school, I know what kind of dedication it takes and how great the moment of success can be. I teach using a lot of paper and using many examples. I served both as a tutor at the Center of Teaching and Learning (CTL) and as an academic peer advisor for the college of Arts and Sciences at the University of Alabama. At the university, i gave lectures in science courses including chemistry, physics, and mathematics. I know when a student is confused or bored and i know how to change the teaching style to keep them focused. More importantly, i relate scientific concepts to everyday activities which have proven to be very effective in the art of teaching.
I obtained a bachelor of science in chemistry from the University of Alabama. But more importantly, i was deeply involved with cutting-edge scientific research throughout my undergraduate experience.
