After college graduation, I taught Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry, Earth Science, Biology and Chemistry for one year at a private school in Fresno, CA. I then moved to San Jose, CA and taught at Valley Christian High School. I taught Algebra and Algebra II for one year and then taught Biology and Honors Biology for two years. I started my college education in a community college, where i met many struggling students trying to improve their career opportunities. As a peer tutor at that school and in the jobs i have held since, I have developed a appreciation for the satisfaction that comes from assisting people with their coursework. I went on to continue tutoring at NC State University, where I took a formal class on tutoring to better my abilities, and tutored non-physics major students, including one with a learning disability.
