A Little Bit About Me...

I am interested in being a guitar tutor. I have been playing guitar for about 20 years. I play with some old high school friends in a garage band that plays mainly classic rock. In my current position within Lipper, I have been a trainer- traveling to many different mutual funds offices and training them on our products. My main passion is music education. I love playing guitar and am excited to help anyone interested in learning about the instrument.

A Little Bit About Me...

While I was attending college I worked in child care with a variety of ages preparing lessons for enrichment. I also taught as an adjunct professor for adult ESL at Aims Community College. After finishing my degree, I taught for five years at Wiggins Elementary in 2nd and 6th grade. I was trained in FAST reading program as well as many others for teaching reading and math. For the past two years, I have been living in the country of Macedonia as a US Peace Corps volunteer. My job there entailed working with primary school teachers to develop student centered teaching techniques and resources. My teaching style is catered to the student. However he/she learns best is the way I will strive to teach them. With no preference, however, I am a very visual educator, as that is how I best learn. I mainly teach with step by step examples, explaining each step's relevance along the way while relating concepts to real world application.
Throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies I have maintained an A average. I have been considered to be very intelligent, professional, and a great leader to my peers during my schooling as well. I love teaching with children, they can be a better people than us, if we are a good teachers for them. Every child is a great person in the future and they have potential for learning. I´ve been teaching since 10 years ago. I´ve been teaching from 1st grade to 12th grade.
