I am interested in being a guitar tutor. I have been playing guitar for about 20 years. I play with some old high school friends in a garage band that plays mainly classic rock. In my current position within Lipper, I have been a trainer- traveling to many different mutual funds offices and training them on our products. My main passion is music education. I have worked a number of years in Early Childhood, Elementary level of Education, Middle School, and Special Education. I have also worked with children from the age of 6 weeks to 18 years old. I have worked as both a worked as a Para-educator and a teacher in a classroom with students with behavioral disorders. I taught 6th grade math and science 2007-2008, 2008-2009 school years, I taught 5th grade.I have both a CO. Teaching License and a CA Teaching License. Both are multiple subject credentials. Throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies I have maintained an A average. I have been considered to be very intelligent, professional, and a great leader to my peers during my schooling as well. Although I have only tutored a couple of students during my education, they both did considerably better on their exams after my tutoring.

While I was attending college I worked in child care with a variety of ages preparing lessons for enrichment. I also taught as an adjunct professor for adult ESL at Aims Community College. After finishing my degree, I taught for five years at Wiggins Elementary in 2nd and 6th grade. I was trained in FAST reading program as well as many others for teaching reading and math. For the past two years, I have been living in the country of Macedonia as a US Peace Corps volunteer. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a substitute teaching license from the state of Colorado. I have been subbing for Denver Public Schools and Cherry Creek School District for over three years. I have worked with ages ranging from Kindergarten to 8th grade.
I enjoy working with students and have a high level of patience with each grade level. I am usually pretty laid-back and allow students leeway to have a bit of fun while they learn.
