I volunteer for HOBY (Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Seminar) every year. This program pushes facilitation, which is what I strive to do. I give my students the benefit of the doubt. In the beginning and throughout the school year, I assume that my students are giving me their best. It may not be at grade level, and may be sloppy and hard to read but it's what they can do right now. Then, the hard work begins!
