At my undergraduate program, my professor for a course in Symbolic Logic asked to refer students in the class to me, if they had questions about the material. After the class had finished, the professor hired me through the university's Philosophy Department as a tutor for the same class. After graduation, I acted as a private tutor in my spare time. At Columbia University I was a Teaching Assistant for three college courses, giving me my greatest experience with explaining course material to a large group of students. I am currently working as a private tutor, with most of my clients learning college-level intermediate Algebra or Symbolic Logic.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching in the homeschool community for about 10 years. I have learn many skills on how to handle different classroom situations. I tautht cross county, physical education, critical thinking skills, sewing, and all the other core courses. I volunteered in a local private school to assist when they would need me. With a B.A. in Journalism, I have written for radio, TV, national magazines and several newspapers. I love incorporating my personality in my classroom. I often find that students are engaged and grasp concepts when I link them to real-life experiences.
