I have a variety of experience. Most of my tutoring experience is with older students, aged 15 or older. However, I feel that I could work with younger kids as well. I love learning, and I get excited when a student fully grasps the material. I try and reinforce a teachers method of teaching. I moved to North Carolina shortly after graduating in August 2007. I was a teacher Assistant in a Kindergarten classroom. I helped the teacher create lesson plans, I helped children is small groups and one on one. I also served as a team teacher since I had my teaching degree. I also taught whenever needed. This past year I began the school year off in Ohio working as a substitute for 3 different school districts. I worked in several different grade levels including special ed. I am a very interactive teacher. I find it helpful for the students I work with if I am able to relate a lesson to something else with which they are familiar. I like to use tangible learning tools and hands on methods, allowing the student to get the most experience possible with a lesson in order to really grasp and have deep understanding of the material.
