A Little Bit About Me...

I like to encourage and support my students. Many students don’t want to learn or do not feel they can succeed. When a student is positive and feels that sense of pride; he will open himself up more to the idea of learning. Secondly, I will always do readings and visuals to stimulate both areas of the brain to ensure it is absorbed. I also believe in repetition of information once a student comprehends what has been learned. Lastly, I like to be consistent. I have always kept the learning styles very similar. A Little Bit About Me...

For five years I taught swimming lessons. While swimming isnotan academic subject, this experience taught me the essentials of teaching. I worked with a large range of ages, from six months to sixty years. While in college I was a tutor/editor in the writing center all three years. I have always been a creative thinker. This lead me to have a variety of career choices and intrests. I have a bachelor degree in communications, and will have my Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling in the fall of 2010. I also have been published in the Chicago Tribune in the Women's section on two occasions.
