A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from Mount Union College in May 2006 with a BA in History and a double minor in Adoloescent to Young Adult Education and American Studies. Throughout high school I was a teacher's assistant helping with students in class during my study halls as well as working one on one with students for extra study skills. In the past few years I have tutored students in elemtary math, middle school reading and writing, and even my own students before and after school in social studies. I currently teach Civics and Economics which is an EOC course and I have taught this for 6 years now. I was a ABA therapist for a company around the Fort Campbell, Ky area for over a year. I worked with special needs children, emphasis on autism. I volunteered at a Fort Campbell school and also worked as a substitute teacher. I was TriCare approved at my last job. I am currently attending college to receive my Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I have less than one year to graduate. Teacher with gentle touch - Very good at explaining new subj

Web manager and usability analyst as well as instructor. I have been asked at various jobs to teach training classes to my peers because of my ability to deliver an easy to understand lesson. I've been told I am very good at explaining a topic that someone has no experience with at all. I am on contract with NC States Computer Training Unit.
I try to find the teaching style that is going to work for the student. Are they visual? Do they need to touch to learn? Finding out how to teach them and then helping them learn skills for independent study are just as important as the material.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have recently graduated from North Carolina State University with a BS in Biological Sciences with a minor in Genetics. During college, I taught/tutored 7th graders at a local middle school in the areas of math and science. I was responsible for full lessons as well as small group tutoring and science experiments. I was able to set-up lessons for the children to explain how math and science works together in order to provide data.
