A Little Bit About Me...

I love what I do for a living. I love teaching and coaching and have always wanted to be a teacher. I believe all childeren can learn given the opportunity. I believe students have their own unique intelligences and learning styles. My role as a teacher/ coach is to identify those intelligences and styles and deliver subject's content using strategies that support those intellegeneces and styles. I also believe in helping students find the intrinsic motivation to work hard and not give up when subject matter is difficult.
Since finishing my degree and teaching credential progam I have been teaching full time for the last 12 years. I was a tenured teacher in Atascadero teaching all subjects 3-8 from 1998-2001. I am a CPA licensed in Arizona and California having worked with KPMG and local CPA firms. I am also a Certified Internal Auditor. My work experience has been as the Controller in turn-around situations, manufacturing, distribution and agriculture operations as well as small family operated construction and retail companies. I tutored College Algebra and Trigonometry to students at Arizona State University and taught and coached children swimming and diving teams. I also taught “Cash Flow Management” classes for the Arizona Society of Accountants as well as many other presentations (intro to 401k, safety programs, stock options, inventory procedures, etc.) in the companies where I have worked.
