After earning a BS in Statistics from UCSB, I worked as a substitute teacher for a year at a private school in Santa Barbara (Santa Barbara Christian School). Motivated by that positive experience, I obtained a teaching credential in Mathematics Secondary Education from UCSB, graduating as Student Teacher of the Year. I had the opportunity to teach High School in Oxnard and Middle School at Carpinteria Middle School, after receiving my credential. For the past 15 years, I have owned a web consulting business that employs the mathematics I learned as a student.

This involves a lot of questions and guiding the student to the correct answer. When students discover the answer on their own it is much more rewarding and long lasting for them.
