A Little Bit About Me...

I am patient and easy going with my students. I try to communicate with them to see what their specific needs are or where they need help most. When practicing homework problems I try to elaborate on them by showing them what they should look for before even starting the problem, what steps to take, and usually ask them a variation of the same problem. This has helped my students grasp the concept they are learning and has made it easier for them to remember how to complete a problem when it comes to tests.

During my two years of tutoring, I've helped two students to drastically improve their grades after they fell to below 2.0 GPA. My first year of experience came in 2004 when a friend of me offered tutoring a high school student in English. During 2004-2005 I've revised his grammar and added to his vocabulary by giving him bunches of reading paragraphs which we went through the grammar points and vocabularies used. The second year of experience was in 2007-2008 during my first year at Cal Poly Pomona with a student who wanted to gain better understanding, grade and accuracy doing Math and Chemistry problems.
