Algebra I is one of my top subjects!

I am a 16 year old high school student taking my third year of Spanish, Psychology/Sociology, English, U.S History, Chemistry, and Math Reasoning. School wasn't one of my favorite places to go especially when I wasn't doing so hot in some of my classes. But then I found fun and easy ways to study. It turned out that I actually enjoyed going to school afterwards and making it a goal to get good grades. That is my goal with potential students. I want them to enjoy studying for school. Yes it may be a lot of work but the student can make it easier by using flashcards or writing down the problem until it sticks into their, whatever helps them. I want to help them to see how easy school can actually be for them. At first studying may be frustrating but the more the student and I practice, the more fun and less stressful the subject will become.

I have work as a para educator and a volunter in a special education classroom setting as well as a special education church ministry. Because each student, young or old, responds to different learning stimuli (graphical or verbal) at diffrent rates, I always try to get to know my student first. I then try to tailor my tutoring to how they respond best and retain what they've learned. My style is to teach a concept during the one on one session with me. I then give them homework to reinforce the learning on personal time.
