Journalism is one of my top subjects!

Over the past 20 years, I have taught Italian to students of all ages and backgrounds. I have a Bachelor's degree in Italian and a secondary teaching credential from San Francisco State University. I love to help students gain an understanding of Italian grammar from an English-speaking point of view, or improve conversational ability for an upcoming trip. I am expert in English grammar as well, and have been published multiple times in local magazines, so I can help students of English with all grammar and writing questions.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a United States Peace Corps Volunteer, I worked with local youth in a Fijian village over the course of two years. I created a study groups based on education level and subject matter for the young adults living in the community. I focused lessons on English reading and comprehension, effective writing skills, algebra, calculus, and basic science. Working with youth from another culture and in a foriegn language forced me to gain strong interpersonal skills, innovative ways to tutor students, and the patience to work with students to achieve their academic goals.
I worked with students from the age of eight to eighteen. Each age group provided its own set of challenges and opportunities to strengthen my experience as a tutor.
