I have a Bachelor's Degree and Single Subject Secondary credential in Italian. I have tutored hundreds of students, from beginners to advanced, over the past 15 years. Since Italian is not my native language, I am especially adept at helping speakers of English approach Italian as a second language. I am native English speaking, fluent Italian, spoken and written.

A Little Bit About Me...

I started substitute teaching in 1983 while I was working on my Master's Degree at California State University, Long Beach. I have been a substitute teacher in Long Beach, Santa Barbara, Glendale, and Palm Springs. I have had experience as a long term substitute in Senior English for a year at Palm Springs High School, also in Palm Springs, I did six months as a Special Education teacher at Cree Middle School. While I was in Glendale, I worked a year at Allen Continuation High School teaching English and Social Studies. My teaching experience has been in the corporate world, where I was responsible for training and teaching employees both basics and advanced techniques in the broadcast field of advertising. My success was in preparing them for an expanded career, and many of those that I mentored over the years remain in prominent positions at some of the world's largest advertising agencies. I have excellent writing skills and interpersonal skills, am very reliable, and very organized.

As an Anthropology major, I was qualified to work as an archaeologist with the Joshua Tree National Park for 7 years. I was responsible for site recognition, recording and records keeping.
