I have over 10 years of experience in the education field with a special love for tutoring Mathematics. My experience is extensive as I ran my own tutoring business for 3 years doing mostly freelance work in college. The unique thing about my experience is that I have tutored ages 8-28 through my many recipients. I have a knack for getting children and adults excited to learn whether it is through motivation outside the subject area, or showing them that they can in fact do this. Survey of American and British Literature classes in college, along with AP classes for high school. I am currently an English major, specifying in creative writing, at Virginia Tech. In high school, I took both of the offered AP English courses and passed with a 4 on both. In college, almost every class I have taken has been English-oriented, with regards to either literature or writing. When it comes to helping others, I have been editing friends' papers some in high school and multiple times weekly in college. I am able to find what they are doing wrong and constructively advise ways to fix their problems with writing. I like to see examples of what the person is having difficulty with in order to pinpoint problems and then work on them from there.

I have been working at Hermitage High School in Henrico County as an English teacher for the past 4 years. I have taught 9th grade, but I have spent most of my time teaching 11th grade.
