Better academics combined with more fun is the goal.

I have helped friends (and their children) to prepare for exams since when in high school I won various awards for my performance on exams. I won the top score for the Regents exam for Duval County in 1971 and for this I was recognized by the downtown Rotary Club. Also I won the top statewide scholarship award for the Chamber of Commerce and for the N.H.S. due to performance on exams. Also I won the Merit Scholarship award. I have only recently started to do tutoring for pay. Over the years I have helped my children, my grandchildren, and friends and others to prepare for exams ranging from kindergarten phonics up to and beyond SAT exams.
I consider it my duty to do what it takes to make the tutoring FUN for the person being tutored.

A Little Bit About Me...

I hold dual Masters degrees in Architecture and Construction and I have a passion for teaching. While earning my masters degree in construction I was a teachers assistant for construction courses and enjoyed teaching and helping over sixty students learn the material. While I was getting my first degree, which was in architecture, I worked at a music school and taught classes to children ages 4 and up. School/education was my haven when I was younger, and I want younger children to feel that way as well. Just as no child should be left behind, each child should also recognized by his/her learning style. I am a firm believer in teamwork and believe children can go forward if given the proper resources.
As a recent graduate of the University of Phoenix, I am very much driven and have a strong desire to step into the educational arena and work with younger children.
