Patience is, without a doubt, my biggest virtue. Taking art lessons can be intimidating, especially for an unsure student. With my experience, I have been able to identify the measures to instruct my students while keeping them comfortable in a positive environment. My one and only passion has always been children. I strongly believe that every child should be respected and given an equal opportunity for success. In my experience, most children learn best through hands-on learning opportunities. Paper-and-pencil work has its place, however, I find it's important to provide other methods of teaching that cater to different types of learners such as kinesthetic and auditory learners. I have experience in working with children and young people in my missions and humanitarian work. I have lead teams of teenagers and worked with children in local schools, orphanages, and community organizations. I also worked at a daycare during my internship in 2004.
