I am a graduate of the University of Kentucky, holding a bachelor's degree in Chemistry with honors. I will be pursuing my Ph.D in organic chemistry at MIT. I have worked as a general and organic chemistry peer tutor for 3 years at the University of Kentucky. In addition, I have privately tutored during the summer at the university. I have lead group help sessions for organic chemistry lecture. Working practice problems step-by-step, asking questions along the way. I like to have students work problems on their own to identify their problem areas and help them from there.

I was a pre-med student until recently, and I was my high school Valedictorian. I have tutored children in the past from ages 7 to 13, but I am comfortable tutoring all ages. I am also have a strong knowledge of the German language.

As a Purdue graduate, I was the recipient of the highest level of instruction in math and science. As an undergraduate I was named on the Dean’s list six times and was inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering. In order to be granted this degree I was required to gain a great understanding in many areas of math and science. In addition, I have been on the cutting edge of computer science from the first hand held calculators. I can program in FORTRAN, Assembly, Basic, Pascal, and C languages, on a variety of platforms. After working as an engineer for 20 years, I then pursued a teaching license and have taught High School math for the last decade. I enjoy teaching and working with all children.
