Experience Summary
As a Purdue graduate, I was the recipient of the highest level of instruction in math and science. As an undergraduate I was named on the Dean’s list six times and was inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society. I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering. In order to be granted this degree I was required to gain a great understanding in many areas of math and science. In addition, I have been on the cutting edge of computer science from the first hand held calculators. I can program in FORTRAN, Assembly, Basic, Pascal, and C languages, on a variety of platforms.
After working as an engineer for 20 years, I then pursued a teaching license and have taught High School math for the last decade.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching and working with all children. Not all of us can be the “Star Athlete”, but we can all learn the rules of the game. All children can learn. I am available to help your child find academic success. I am patient, easy going, and considerate. I have found that most students that are having difficulty can be put back on track by a teacher willing to take the time to find the problem. My goal is to provide the best education possible. I believe all children deserve to reach their potential and they can if they are given the appropriate surroundings and learning opportunities. A good education can make a world of difference in a child's life. I strive to give all of my students' the tools they need to succeed in life.
