Experience Summary
As a former academic scholarship student at Western Kentucky University, I have a keen understanding of what it takes to succeed at the highest level even under immense stress. Learning mathematics generally requires assistance from outside sources as it is not the easiest subject to understand. In the past, I tutored other college students with LDS in Math and German. I am very comfortable with all the major foundations of Chemistry including General, Organic, and Physical Chemistry. This includes both theoretical and lab work. I am also well versed in the English language, History, and Drama.
Teaching Style
I work best with individuals who are self-motivated and determined to succeed. I am the kind of teacher who responds to questions with questions. I understand that a lot of students are just looking for a sufficient answer, but this will not help them understand the material when they are required to take an exam. I am a firm believer in teaching through example as it is the most efficient way to learn the mathematical sciences. Those professors who had the most profound impact on my academic career were always willing to show me various strategies to arrive at the same answer. Therefore, I strive to teach the methods of problem solving as they have widespread application in all of science.
