I have many experiences and a varied background. I have two Masters in English and Secondary Education. My bachelor degrees are in English and Spanish. While a high school student, I was an exchange student in Mexico. I also spent five years in Japan teaching English in a public school and at a language school. Before that I taught writing courses to college students. I have lots of experience teaching writing, grammar, and literature. I am able to teach any level. I love learning and teaching. I enjoy teaching and helping youth learn. My philosophy is that all children can learn if provided the opportunity and resources that fit their learning style. As a teacher and instructor, I have over 20 years experience in education and a BA in Music Education. I have 13 years experience teaching music, to all levels K-12, in public schools. In addition I have and continue to provide individual music lessons to children and adults. I also teach group kickboxing exercise classes at our YMCA. I have also enjoyed volunteering in our Awana club as a group leader assisting 3rd - 5th grade students. I have proven many methods of teaching, especially in instrumental music.
