I began my teaching career by substituting and volunteering at the local schools. I then completed my degree in Middle Grades Education in Social Science. When I began teaching, I taught Reading 3 of the 5 years I taught and fell in love with it. I am currently trying to complete my Reading Endorsement and follow up with a Reading Specialist degree. I am a firm believer that all students can learn if given the proper tools and learning experiences. I utilize a variety of techniques and strategies to ensure my students learn to the best of their ability. I am very passionate about my students learning and very easy going. I finished my BA with concentrations in management and accounting at Troy University in 2007,then worked for three years in an Accounting Office. I left there in January 2010 to pursue my Masters in Accounting. I gained valuable experience in reading, writing and the application of mathematical formulas through working in a fast paced accounting office. I supervised one to three employees, trained them and audited their work.
