I have been a private math tutor since 2008. I have been a tutor for WinShape Homes since 2008 as well. I taught math at a Unity Christain School from 2097-2008. I taught pre-algebra, algebra, algebra II, geometry, and Precalculus. I taught remedial math for 2 semesters at Shorter University, and I taught in the adult education program teaching GED math at GA Northwestern Technical College.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am an honors high school student and I have never made anything below a B in any class. My specialties are math and English, being that I receive the highest grade in the two subjects. I also love working with children to help them better understand anything I can possibly teach. I am also a very strong person, in leadership I mean. I like to be interactive- when I'm teaching I prefer to work through a problem with a student together the first time, letting the student more or less watch me. The second time through, we approach the problem with a little more weight placed on the student. The third time I ask the student to attempt the problem on his/her own, and I'm available for questions.

My comments on tutoring Algebra II : I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, and 5th Grade. I am certified K-6th grade. I also taught advanced math in a GED/HiSet program. I currently teach ESOL/CIVICS for an Adult School.

My teaching philosophy starts out with essentialism which believes in a strong core curriculum and high academic standards. I am patient, warm, and pleasant. What I do is not so much teach the material as a way to learn the material.
