A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is flexible. Students learn in different ways and at different paces. It is my job to discover how the students learn and what they respond best to. For some subjects, repetition is very important and for others a clearer understanding of the concepts involved is more valuable. I like to start with small skills and build on them.
I have taught two years of middle school and home schooled my daughter. I have worked as a substitute teacher on and off for several years. My emphasis in college was English and Math so I feel very comfortable teaching either of these subjects as well as reading.

I love to see kids learning a second language. I realise today in the states there is such much more job opporuntities when you have a second language. I make my own classroom a fun learning experience. I try to make fun sayings and even songs so the kids can relate to the words or sentences I am trying to teach them. I like to tell my own personal experiences of my life growing up in a country that speaks Spanish. I do a lot of group work so the kids can engage with one another to also help them learn off of each other.
