It definitely is important to combine styles. I use direct instruction, as well as guided instruction, and groupwork. have taught grades k-12 on an emergency basis. may be in one day for fourth grade helping with their studies and the next day be in for high school physics where I basically assign paperwork or might give a test. I’m a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh (2009) with a B.S. in Business Administration. After graduation, I realized my true calling while working at my YMCA in our Child Development Center. My title was an office coordinator position, but I took further responsibilities to help out our teachers in our preschool and toddler classrooms. Along with helping out the preschool classes, I have also worked with our school-aged children. This is where I learned that helping children grow is what I enjoy to do and plan to do for the rest of my career.
