My comments on tutoring SAT - Verbal : I have excellent strategies for interpreting and analyzing reading passages, building vocabulary, and teaching sentence structure (for sentence completion). I also did quite well on the Verbal portion of the SAT, so my methods are tried and tested!

From my experiences teaching acting in Durham NC I know education can I know that learning can be fun. I hold a Bachelor's from UNC Greensboro where I majored in Psychology and theater arts, but also took many literature credits to fulfill a special educational program in which I was placed. this program was for gifted students. A Little Bit About Me...

The only teaching experience I have is the student teaching I did at Andrews High School in High Point in 1993 as part of the teaching program at UNC-Greensboro. For several months I taught American Literature and Composition. I have also conducted training classes on new procedures in previous jobs.
My goal is to engage each and every student in the classroom in some aspect of the lesson being conducted. Perhaps I can relate the lesson to experiences in their own lives, or I can tap into their knowledge of, or interest in, a particular subject. Students will not be interested in any lesson if the teacher does not care if they are interested.
