I love working with children. I've taught acting at the Durham Arts Council for three years. The duties from that position included directing students in performances which I helped them create. The plays were written around themes chosen by the camp director. So, in essence, the children and I would research those themes and develop stories which I would then turn into plays using my expertise. Each child learns differently so I try to explain in ways they can understand. I listen to what and how they need help and try to relate that to helping them understand better. I try to get them to discover the answers on their answer and feel comfortable with explaining how they got the answer.

While working on my undergrad I was given the opportunity to be a teaching assistant for a freshman college level film theory and design class. During this opportunity I was responsible for grading the daily work of our students, as well as being a resource for the students design projects.
