In college, I was a Math Tutor in all the requisite courses and calculus. I have earned two bachelor degrees, BS in Math and BS in Mechanical Engineering, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science. In addition, I have learned extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers and laboratory reports, along with essays in many various areas of study. As a student at Kansas State University, I have learned the importance of the pursuit of higher education. I have earned a BS in Psychology, an MS in Marriage and Family Therapy, and will pursue a PhD in Family Life Education and Consultation starting during the 2009-2010 school year. I have written a lot of essays and read numerous research papers. For over a year and a half, I have tutored students in English, psychology, mathematics and sciences. I enjoy teaching students how they learn. It is very important that students know their learning style. My goal is to help them learn how they best retain information. I taught elementary Art, P.E., and library class. In addition, I taught a 12th grade Transitions course, for a year in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. I frequently helped kids with their homework after school, as needed. I volunteered as a 3rd grade Sunday School teacher for a year. I have a bachelor's and master's degree in Social Work.
