Experience Summary
As a graduate student at Kansas State University I have learned the value of education. My education in Political Science working towards my BS has given a high degree of competence in math, history, and social sciences. Through my pursuit of an education in an MA in English I have obtained a high degree of grammatical and writing skills through repeated preperation of papers, speaches, and presentations. My experience as an Eagle Scout and at the McConnell Air Force Base Youth Center has taught me to appreciate the potential for education in anyone.
Teaching Style
I have always loved teaching and tutoring. Whether it is friends, family, children, or college students, the potential to learn present in anyone has always astounded me. Through encourgment, repetition, and practicallity anyone is capable of learning under a caring teacher. Frustration is often the biggest deterent to anyone seeking education, and a tutor with kindness, understanding, and most importantly, patience is the most important factor in overcoming it.
