Experience Summary
I was awarded a BA, Social Sciences, in December, 2000.
Upon relocation to kansas city, Missouri, in 2001, I began training in a teacher education program, 2003, Kansas City Missouri school district, earning teacher certification, Adult Basic Education,2003. Such included teaching GED related courses,2003-2007, and substitute teaching, k-12.
I also served in telemarketing for both the Kansas City Star Newspaper and the Nelson Gallery of Art, 2002-2009.
Current employment:full-time as an Interventionist at Manhattan High School, Manhattan, Kansas, as of January, 2010. Teacher certification is a lifetime membership, Missouri, and teacher certification in Kansas:Substitute Certificate, through July, 2010
Teaching Style
Firstly, I believe all children can meet their potential when given appropriate surroundings and clear expectations of the classroom "culture" as deemed by the instructor, based on mutual respect, and unconditional acceptance of all presentations of abilities: in short, always being available to help all children find academic success.
I strive to make a difference in all my student's lives, remembering these tenents of acceptance and consistency.
