A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of Southwestern College, I was very much driven by a high level of excellence in education. While on active duty in the military, I completed my BS in Human Resource Development and I received Magna Cum Laude honors. I have learned extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers and reports in various areas of study. During the last eight years of my military career I have counseled Sailors in pursuing a college education and tutored several of these same Sailors in English and mathematics.
I love teaching and working with young minds. I believe anyone can learn and meet his or her potential if he or she is given the opportunity. A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently enrolled in the graduate engineering program at the University of Florida, in which I plan to graduate in the spring of 2012. I enjoy working with people and I have a strong background in numerical analysis. I have taken the GRE, ACT, and the SAT. Scores were high above the national average for math and at about the average for the written portion. I do have experience in writing research papers and laboratory reports, all in the field of civil engineering.

A Little Bit About Me...

The easiest way I can explain my teaching style is to begin with the fact that I have worked for Disney for the past 6 years. I always have a smile on my face, and I believe that encouragement is the basis for all true learning. Students need someone to encourage them more than feed them facts. By guiding students through new concepts and learning with them instead of for them, each student is building his or her own learning tools that are more likely to last than the tools their tutor may provide for one homework assignment and never use again.
