I use a multifaceted approach to teaching. I engage my students through experiential learning, service learning, multimedia lecture, discussion, and demonstration. I work at drawing out my students in class by creating a comfortable secure learning environment. I am approachable and available to my students. I teach actively. I walk around the room, make eye contact with all students, and act out the activities of organisms and molecules. I frequently encourage questions from the students and typically get quite a few during a lecture from various students. I also teach interactively. I love working with children. I am mainly in the Library however, I work with students on a one to one basis. I cater my teaching style to the indivual students (I work with several). I am patient and considerate because I know that what might work for one student might not necessarily work for the next. I cater to the students needs because I am here for the child's success.
