Learning styles vary depending on learners' needs and interests.Through the years,I have always matched my teaching styles with students' learning styles.I have constantly used a variety of strategies while teaching groups,and have consistently assessed their educational needs prior to using any teaching or tutoring strategy. All children learn in different ways. Some children learn by listening, while others need visual to see what they are learning. I am very patient with students. My style of tutoring is skills-focused, with a goal of student independence. I am patient and work to facilitate a student’s ability to do the work herself, by giving her strategies for navigating her own work, and helping her to see, or mentally organize, reading and writing in new ways.
