I am a recent graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University with a BA in History and Social Sciences and a total GPA of 3.57. This plan of study exposed me to a wide variety of courses aside from history including psychology, English, computer skills, and sociology. Additionally, I have worked for more than 2.5 years as a teacher's aide. I began at LEARN and I currently work for Waterford Public Schools. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is very simple and I believe it is effective. I have found that going through problems does not always help kids learn. I always try to tutor the basics and establish a plan for problem solving. The children need to know how to attach a problem not how to plug numbers into equations.
While attending the University of Massachusetts at Lowell I work to help other students that were having difficulty understanding the material presented. I obtained a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in Structural Analysis. The course work gave me a very strong understanding of Mathematics, and Physics. Also, the quantity of lab reports I have written has given me an advantage in writing non-technical reports along with technical reports. I have done training in a number of professional areas that have increased my teaching experience. As a Yale graduate I feel quite confident of my teaching skills.
