I use several teaching styles. Whatever works for that particular student. Some students are visual. They need to see what you are talking about. Others are good listeners; they can listen and learn. Some students need to do. All students need practice and I try to provide them with plenty of practice to ensure that they have mastered the topic.
I started teaching in 1989. Not only I have tutored students on different grade levels, but also worked as a classroom teacher in grades Pre-k through High School. I am more than capable of helping any student succeed. Teaching is my career and hobbie.

In a world where you can be anything, be yourself.

My teaching style varies by the student. If the student learns fast and is persitent, I will move at a faster state, but if the student learns at a normal or a slower pace I will move at a rate in which the child will get the most out of the tutoring experience.

More About This Tutor...

My brother's former co-worker talked to me on the phone and told me that his son was having trouble in school. His son didn't understand his mathematics most of the time, so I agreed to tutor him every week. The more tutoring I gave his son, the better his grades were. In Oct. 2007, I worked for UNLV's Gear-Up as a teacher's assistant and tutor. My assignment was at Sedway Middle School in North Las Vegas, NV. The teachers and the staff were very good to me, and I loved that job for a whole year. Mathematics and reading are my definite strongpoints.
I'm currently working towards a teaching position within the Wayne County Public School System. My goal is to educate the students with a smile. My experience has not been in a professional capacity (in the classroom), but in a personal and rewarding position working individually with students. Tutoring students in this environ ... read more

It has been proven that students have different styles of learning. Thus, I understand that my tutoring approach will not be the same for each client.
