I love making lessons fun and interactive for children. If a children does not understand a concept one way I find other ways to explain it.
When I was in elementary school I would help my mother with daycare at our home. I would teach the children new concepts and play with them. During high school I joined the pathfinder club and taught some of the younger children. During college, I tutored elementary children in reading and in math and would make interventions for them. I graduated from Southern Adventist University December 2018 with a bachelors in elementary education. I have been an elementary education classroom teacher for 30 years. I have taught in Walker County, Hamilton County, The Bright School, and Cumberland Hall Psychiatric Hospital for children and adolescents. I have taught in a variety of settings and enjoyed each one. My comments on tutoring English : My 33 years experience as a high school English teacher and 2 years as a GED instructor more than qualify me to tutor students in this area.

I particularly enjoy one-on-one teaching; I also enjoy asking students questions to draw from them the knowledge they are seeking.
I have taught English at the high school level for 33 years, both in public and private school. Currently, I am an instructor for a GED class. I team taught with a special education teacher for several years and encouraged the private school where I taught to hire a special education teacher at the high school level.
