The best way to describe my teaching style without being technical is to state that at teachers' college, I took the top prize in teaching technique after being observed in the classroom by two university professors. Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.

I don't use a lesson plan or guided lessons, I let the kids lead. They usually know what they need help on and if they can figure out what they are having problems with, then everything usually starts making sense. I usually keep my laptop with me, I refer to it if there is something I can't answer or figure out how to start drawing. I don't rely on it, but usually use it as a reference tool.
I've never actually tutored someone, but I am very good at relating with younger kids and High Schoolers. Spelling is one of my top subjects! I love to spell! I truly enjoy using words to convey meaning and a message that others can understand. I've always been a great speller and always enjoy learning new words and helping others to use them correctly.

I have my A.A. degree in Theatre and Communications and will be receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing with a minor in Film Studies in December of 2012. I have experience with children ranging from grades K-12th. I have been a Teacher's Aide since 2004 and a Summer Counselor since 2006. Repetitious in manner.
My experience has been primarily with children within my school or those around my neighborhood. I find that children are more capable of learning in a stable environment that they are familiar with. Children respond well with well timed incentives and subtle reprimands of lost focus. Students are more likely to acknowledge a lack of concentration skills once their intelligence is put into question. Under my tutoring students are able to concentrate more and see an improvement in their grades. Ill behaved children are more likely to round out their behavior once an appropriate hobby is acquired for them and holds their interests. All materials should be produced based on the individual child's rights.
