A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored in the past with my friends and have been told that I am very effective. I feel that I would make a great tutor because I enjoy teaching other what I know. I have also filled in for my teacher while she was away to teach classes such as statics and dynamics at the undergrad level. The students seemed to have enjoyed my way of teaching. I have also assisted in teaching the reinforced concrete design also at the undergrad level. I feel I could be a good tutor for subjects like math, physics, and engineering classes at both high school and undergrad level.

I encourage students to question problem solving methods in order to understand the fundamentals. After an explanation of the material I often follow up with several example problems to help students test their mastery of the subject. I do not emphasize memorizing equations, because students do not learn about the physical phenomena by memorization. I also explain to students study techniques that have worked well for me in the past. I work well with both individuals and small groups.

The situations ranged from one-on-one to outdoor labs and from the classroom to small groups. As a manager of engineering departments at four consulting firms opportunities arose to tutor numerous individuals in both classroom and field settings and the topics were applied math involving physics, algebra, calculus and geometry. My education experience has led me to have a passion to learn. I always had the pleasure to tutor my peers throughout my school years. I love helping and watching people get to the moment where everything is becomes clear. I have graduated with a BS in Business Administration, majoring in Finance. Math has always come natural to me.
