I have been teaching ceramics and painting courses for over five years as well as creating the Apprentice Artist program where I teach from my home studio. I have worked with youth on public murals in pittsburgh and through the Frick Art and Historical Museum Summer Dreamers program. I currently instruct 1-6grade Montessori Art classes as well as various Museum education opportunities. Most lessons can be taught in various styles but teachers are often faced with a curriculum guideline that they must follow. Often they do not have time to reteach the lesson and students begin to fall behind. With encouragement, guidance, and a new approach, many students can not only "catch up" but also stay succesful in that class. I have been employed by the Cambria Heights School District for 14 years as a Title 1 educator. I currently am involved in curriculum math and reading. I have been very successful in academics throughout my education. I was valedictorian of my high school, and I received the top honors in English, French, and Accounting.
