As an Honor graduate with a bachelors of arts in sociology, I have an extensive knowledge of various subjects. Some of the major areas of my degree that i am very familiar with includes: history, social science, american government, and spanish. I have also tutored 9th-12th grade students in history and english with Upward Bound at MVSU. My degree also enabled me to obtain extensive research and writing skills. I am a very patient and understanding person. I believe that patience is very necessary when trying to educate any person. I try to provide a comfortable surrounding for my peers, becoming a mentor and friend. As an educator, I hold three degrees in education. I have earned a BS in Elementary Education, A Master's in Elementary and I also hold a Specialist in Elementary Education as well as a Specialist in Administration and Supervision. I have taught 29 years in the public schools system. During the summer month, I tutor children in my home or at the local library. I also utilized my expertise by teaching in the after school program. I have taught reading, math, Language Arts, English in grades levels K-8. I have worked with children one one, whole class instruction with given individualized attention when need. I also have worked with small setting of children at a time.
