My comments on tutoring Entrance Exams : Exams all come down to prep and organization!

I obtained a B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in aquatic science, from Wittenberg University in 2006. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored elementary students in math and science twice a week for two years. After college, I moved into the marine science profession. In August of 2008, I started teaching High School Biology I, Earth and Space Science, and Physical Science to students in Polk County. In addition, after school hours were spent with two students taking AP Biology classes. Both students achieved a 4 or higher on their placement exams. I was an in class tutor for kindergarden, 3rd and 5th grades. I also taught at Apopka Middle and drop out prevention at Apopka High School. From my own experiences as a student I have come to the opinion that the most valuable educational accomplishment one can achieve is to “learn how to learn”. This seems to be a state of mind, an epiphany if you will, which hopefully will be realized at some point in the course of an individual’s intellectual development.
