My comments on tutoring Entrance Exams : Exams all come down to prep and organization!

I obtained a B.S. in Biology, with a concentration in aquatic science, from Wittenberg University in 2006. During my undergraduate studies, I tutored elementary students in math and science twice a week for two years. After college, I moved into the marine science profession. In August of 2008, I started teaching High School Biology I, Earth and Space Science, and Physical Science to students in Polk County. In addition, after school hours were spent with two students taking AP Biology classes. Both students achieved a 4 or higher on their placement exams. My teaching style is that we do not move on until you (the student) "get it". If that is an hour or two, that's fine, or a week or two, that is fine as well. I need the student to know the material in order to move on.
I have always been involved in the teaching industry. Weather that is after school care or tutoring and mentoring. I was an Americorps Volunteer from 2000-2001 working within education. I was an in class tutor for kindergarden, 3rd and 5th grades. I also taught at Apopka Middle and drop out prevention at Apopka High School. I attended the Massachussetts Institute of Technology and majored in Political Science but switched to Chemical Engineering my junior year.
