As a communications supervisor for a public safety agency, I have very diverse work experience. I also act as a communications training officer and training administrator. Over the past several years (10+), I have trained one on one, numerous employees. In addition, I have conducted small group training sessions for five to twenty subordinates. I have many certifications related to my current position. I have an Associates degree as well as a Bachelor's degree. I am an avid reader and have excellent oral and written communications skills. A Little Bit About Me...

As an elementary school teacher over the past 29 years I have taught for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, LAUSD, and currently for Saugus Union School district. I have taught in grades Kinder-4th grade. There were six years that I chose to substitute teach between 1986-1991 so that I could be home part time to raise my young family.
I believe all children have the capacity to learn. My approach is to provide a nurturing environment using praise and encouragement to motivate students. When a student's confidence increases, they begin to achieve more academic success. With patience, encouragement, and praise, children are able to work to their potential. I make learning fun!

I am very passionate about teaching. I want to do it for the rest of my life so it is something that I enjoy. I love working with children and teenagers. I want to be an inspiration to my students. I want to motivate them to love learning and to find subjects that interest them. I like to teach through discussion and interaction because I believe that the best way to learn something is to analyze it yourself. In this way children and teenagers can learn and can, possibly, find a deeper meaning in what they are doing and as a result enjoy it.
