Then, after graduating from college, I worked in Japan as an English instructor at a public junior high school for two years where I furthered my study of the Japanese language. I have volunteered for a violence prevention program for one year and I taught children social skills and also have them complete a nine week course of homework assignments. I also was a big sister for a little girl and I not only spent many hours with her going to the park, arts and crafts, but I also helped tutor her with her homework. I really enjoy working with children, I feel they have so much potential if given the opportunity and some students just need that one on one help with a tutor or a teacher. I make sure that my instructions and how I am teaching is consistant with how well the child is able to grasp the concept or idea I am trying to teach.
