Children learn in different way, and have different levels of enthusiasm for different subjects. I believe that you must approach education by meeting the student where he or she is rather having the student conform to your style. Therefore I embrace an eclectic style. Each student will present with some king of dominant learning style. They will be primarily visual, auditory, conceptual or experiential. It is my job to discover that style in the teaching process and direct my approach to that student. I did tutoring as a high school student. I tutored other students in math. The tutoring program also placed me in kindergarten and first grade classes to help the teacher where needed. I have two children that are always asking how to do things. In addition, I have tutored adult friends for the GED test and the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB). I have finished the Income Tax Course with H&R Block at the end of 2010. Everyone has their own way of learning. The key is to figure that way out and use it to their advantage.
