Literature is one of my top subjects! I have a passion for literature and teaching students how to read deeply to find out what the author was truly trying to say. Expert areas are British, American, and World literature.

I recently obtained my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, where I graduated in the top of my class with a 4.0. While there, I often tutored people in writing and research, as well as serving as a Teaching Assistant for various classes including: Theatre History, Voice for the Actor, and Shakespeare. In addition to my degree in Theatrical Performance, I received a minor in English Literature. Since I've been home, I've been helping some of the younger members of my family with their writing and study skills, and their grades have greatly improved since we've started working together. A Little Bit About Me...

I am flexible in my style because each child is unique. It is important to address the needs of all groups. I incorporate a variety of strategies so that all are involved and challenged to learn. Like a doctor, I prescribe a learning path and adjust the strategies as needed for individual students' needs.
I began working in Tangipahoa Parish February of 1983. I tutored in the Migrant program When our school moved I moved to a 6th Grade class where I taught self-contained, team taught, etc. When we moved, once again, to a new school I with Mrs. Deborah Ellzey as a team-teacher.
