As an undergraduate, I participated in two tutoring programs, over the span of two years, teaching middle school children afterschool and teaching Dominican immigrants during a summer ESL program. While in high school, I also was appointed by my high school principal to be an assistant instructor/tutor for an AP World History and AP U.S History course. While teaching and tutoring AP World History students, I helped my pupils prepare for both routine classroom exams and the AP exam by designing pneumonic exercises for facts, as well as coming up with creative ways of teaching reoccurring historic themes.
